Setup

Check your grades. If you made a major mistake on the assignment, you can correct it but will be docked points. Also, I will not stop class for you to finish your assignment. You must notify me in person or by email if you have updated your assignment.

Keyboarding

Check your current goals. Practice with the “blog terminology” custom lessons.

Lesson

Log in to Wordpress. We’ll start by adding a “Categories” widget.

This lesson will add on to our existing knowledge of blog posts. Our current terminology for blog posts include:

  • title
  • content
  • categories
  • tags

Today we will be adding a specific type of media to our blog posts: images. For this project, you will be using Wordle.net to create a picture cloud of our blog terminology listed above. You will then use Greenshot to take a screen capture of the word cloud. The screen capture will be saved to your local computer, then uploaded to your blog.

  1. View slides of the process.
  2. Demo the process.
  3. Students will do the process.

Activity

Watch the following video displaying all the steps required for this activity. Also, refer back to it if you need to. (sorry for the poor image quality on the video, but I don’t have enough time to fix this)
