World Math Day

Setup
- Write the activity on the whiteboard.
- Write the web address on the whiteboard: http://www.worldmathday.com
- Write the windows login/password on the board.
- Students meet on the colored mat.
- Tell students they will be practicing for world math day which is on March 3rd.
- Hand out the students’ world math day individual login sheets.
- Dismiss students to their seats.
Activity
- Students should stay seated and use quiet voices when talking.
- Students can have free time for the last 10 minutes of class.
Free Time Options
- Students can go to any of the links in the “Internet Shortcuts” folder on the desktop.
- OR
- Students can doodle anything in Tuxpaint.
- OR
- Use any of the installed programs on their computers.
Insert a hyperlink into your Wordpress blog post

What is a hyperlink?
Simply put, a hyperlink is clickable text that takes you to a new webpage.
How do you insert a hyperlink into a Wordpress blog post?
1) Type the text that you want to use for your hyperlink into the post’s content area.
2) Highlight the text.
3) Click on the hyperlink button in your toolbar.
4) Copy/paste the address that you want the hyperlink to take you to into the “Link URL” textbox.
4b) Other options
- Target: Specify whether you want the link to open in a new window or not.
- Title: The text that appears when your mouse hovers over the hyperlink.
- Class: Ignore this for now.
5) Click on Insert.
