Hi there digital art students are future techies/graphic designers!

I am excited to be co-teaching this class this semester, and the cumulative knowledge of myself and Mr. Moore will go a long way in expanding your horizons.

A little bit on my background, after graduating with a bachelors in Computer Science, I began work as an IT technician/network administrator/hardware guy. After delving into web development a bit, a job opened up for me as a web developer. While in this position, I gained experience with html/css/javascript, server technologies such as asp/C#/vb and .NET technologies. I also worked heavily with databases such as Oracle and Microsoft SQL server. Along the way, I picked up quite a bit of graphics experience and a bit of Adobe Flash (Macromedia at the time).

After about 5 years working heavily in this field, I decided it was time to diversify a bit and begin teaching technology…that brings me here today!

In this class, I will be focusing on the technical side of things by teaching you HTML, CSS, and client-side & server-side scripting. We will also be leveraging the Wordpress blog engine to explore its potential as a collaborative communal tool, and its pertinence to web development these days.
